Notre Dame Cathedral gave me a peculiar and distressed feeling when I visited it in Paris, as if chaos filled the dark expanses of the interior. It was all I could do to not run outside as I listened to a tour guide explain how the massive stained glass Rose Windows were taken down to protect them from bombing in WWII. I tried to focus on the magnificent light and colors that made their way towards the Cathedral floor, parting the darkness. As Notre Dame burned I began composing the song Cathederal, believing the Rose Windows would be destroyed. I composed a song each day for 7 days as the consequence of the fire was revealed and a new reality set in. I offer this album as a donation to the reconstruction.
